The Finance and Administration Manager is primarily an employee of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Musoma with dual reporting to the Graca Machel Trust in Johannesburg and will ensure the effective and efficient use of and reporting on the project’s finances as per the project’s and organization’s operational manuals, policies and procedures. She/he will also ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the project office and team, including managing the project’s human resources portfolio in liaison with the organization’s Human Resources Manager
.
Responsibilities and Key Performance Areas
• Maintain the project’s financial accounts according to the organizations, donors’ and project’s operational manuals, policies, procedures and relevant Tanzania Laws
• Ensure financial obligations are met timeously, effectively and efficiently
• Ensure timely financial reports are produced and submitted as per donor and organizational requirements
• Ensure monthly budget versus expenditure reports on all budget lines are produced and reviewed by the Project Manager
• Ensure timely and efficient human resources administration and management Manage the project’s assets and equipment, including proper assets registers
• Manage the project’s procurement process as per relevant policies and procedures
• Manage an effective and efficient electronic and physical filing system
• Train and mentor staff and relevant project stakeholders on finance procedures, processes and policies in order to ensure sound financial accountability to all stakeholders, including donors
Requirements
• Proven experience and success in Finance and Administration Management in donor-funded organizations
• Relevant qualifications in finance, administration and human resources management .
• A sound knowledge and understanding of donor funded projects
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Swahili
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly the development and use of spreadsheets
• A valid driver’s license an added advantage
