Manager Workspace Planning – Engineering And Design – Dar es salaam – NMB Bank

Purpose
Workspace Planning, engineering and Design will be responsible for the development and implementation of short and long term space planning requirements and high performance workplace strategies.

This role will work closely with key stakeholders to gather and analyze space requirements and provide conceptual space plans/test-fits along with furniture specifications leveraging knowledge of architectural design and organizational standards

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement workspace strategies and solutions that support
corporate objectives.
• Provide “what if” strategic space scenarios at the request of management
• Work directly with key stakeholders to obtain workspace programming

Requirements
• Optimize space efficiencies through design and test fits.
• Identify and address organizational, operational and functional relationships
that pose physical and spatial impacts.
• Produce and maintain reports and other documents as required, providing
design details and workspace information for all offices.
• Point of contact for all workplace changes and fumiture requirements.
• Create robust end-to-end processes for managing workplace projects/programs
• Enforce workspace policies/procedures and escalate client requested exceptions
to policy.
• Manage capital allocations related to workspace projects.
• Eliminate furniture inventories through re-allocation planning.

Qualifications
• Knowledge of changes and trends in office space utilization, including floor
densification, collaborative furniture concepts, space sharing and alternative
workplace strategies.
• Ability to communicate, demonstrate and implement knowledge in creating more effective and efficient work spaces.
• Strong service ethic and excellent customer management skills coupled with a high level of initiative and aptitude for learning.
• Ability to work independently and produce excellent results in a highly dynamic work environment.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in working collaboratively and cross-functionally within the organization and the business in order to execute tasks under tight deadlines, demonstrating sound “relationship management” skills both within and external to the organization.
• Must be exceptionally organized, structured, methodical, and attentive to detail and possess a high-degree of follow-through.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to break complex issues into manageable parts.
• Experience establishing and implementing effective business processes and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Suite of Offices, AutoCAD.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Workspace and Design Management or equivalent and proven work experience in space planning, facility utilization, and/or program and project management for a large, multi-site corporation.
