Job Level 4: Reporting to Manager Workspace planning, engineering and design
Purpose
Responsible to deliver work/functions related to the unit as assigned by the Manager, workspace planning, engineering & design.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises;.
• Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives;.
• Ensuring the new buildings/workspace designs meets health and safety
requirements and that facilities comply with legislation in order to keep staff safe;.
• Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings,
or re-organizing current premises;.
• Checking that agreed work by staff or design consultants, architects, etc. has been
completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies;
Required qualifications and experience
• Bachelor degree in project management, Civil/electrical engineering,
Architecture, Construction management, Building survey, Housing and
Infrastructure planning, Land Management & valuation, related field.
• At least two (2) years of work experience in Facilities Management related to
workspace design and engineering
• Knowledge of workspace planning and design activities
