Responsibilities
Independently perform analysis and produce outputs for advocacy in the following areas:
• Fiscal policy, legal, and regulatory framework for public financial management, in particular with regard to transparency and accountability.
• Annual government budgets including revenues, expenditures, and budget deficits, in particular with regard to equity and efficiency.
• Regular technical performance reports, financial performance reports, and audit reports.
• Assessment of PFM system through PEFA framework.
• Act as liaison with various stakeholders that are involved in the public financial management reform process at local, national and international level.
• Assist in the preparation of Sikika’s annual work plans, budgets, and reports.
• Advise and support other colleagues on public financial management issues.
Qualifications:
University degree or equivalent qualification in the following, or related, fields: Economics, Public Policy, Public Administration or Business Administration, Controlling or Accounting (master’s level will be added advantage.
At least 3 years of experience in relevant field of work
Proven ability to manage projects and achieve results
Fully proficient in oral and written English (fluency in Kiswahili is highly desirable)
