Reporting to the Director General, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the
development and implementation of practical ICT solutions to support MSD’s supply chain strategy
and operations.
Key responsibilities
Oversee implementation of MSD’s strategic plan in relations to ICT objectives;•
Accountable for implementation of ICT performance contract and Strategic Management•
Office (SMO) targets in the directorate;
Develop ICT policies and procedures and ensuring adherence to set standards;•
Ensure optimal use of ICT systems in terms of value for the business units versus system•
related costs;
Ensure that MSD staff have access to the required ICT facilities and services, and that the•
services are managed efficiently;
Manage security of networks, systems and organisations’ information; and•
Oversee implementation of ICT projects, including joint projects with stakeholders such as•
USAID and e-Gov.
Personal Specifications
Master of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent;•
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent;•
Professional certification such CCNP, CCNA/CCNP/OCP with ICT security or equivalent•
qualification;
Twelve years relevant experience five of which must be in a senior position; and•
Business writing skills.•
