11. Job Title: Cartographic Technician I (1 post)
(a) Qualifications and Experience

• Form IV with Full Technician’s Certificate or Diploma in Cartography with at least four years working experience in a similar position in related or allied institution.
• At least five years working experience in similar position.

(b) Main Duties:
• Compiles, designs, and produces maps of all kinds, e.g. topographic, thematic, etc.
• Makes decisions on materials and instruments to be used.
• Advises on production systems to follow.
• Makes cost calculations for map production processes; and
• Performs any other duties assigned from time to time by one’s reporting officer.
(c) Salary Scale: PUSS 3.1 – 3.5

Permanent and pensionable.
