Tutor/Instructor II – Pilot Instructor II – Dar es salaam – National Institute of Transport

Qualifications
Holders of a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with multi engine Instrument Rating, class I medical certificate, and type rating on same category plane or 1000 hours of flying on type/category and English language proficiency level 4 or better. In addition must have a Certificate in pilot instruction/licensed instructor/TCAA approved Type Rating Instructor/Synthetic Flight Instructor and be eligible for registration with NACTE as a Technical teacher.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in training of pilots which include, Simulator base, Route Proficiency Check and Instrument training, Administers practical and practical examinations, Assists in conducting tutorial and practical exercises for students under close supervision, Prepares material for practical exercises, Assist students in building up their practical projects, Plan and design training exercises for students, Conducts examinations and submits results, Participates in research work, Constructs/ manufactures / fabricates prepares teaching aids, Caries out consultancy and service job assignments under close supervision; and Performs any other duties as may be assigned by ones’ reporting officer.

Salary Scale: PTSS 10-11 5

(i) All applicants must attach an up-to-date CV, certified photocopies of Academic certificates (Form IV and VI National Examination certificates must be attached) and transcripts, one recent passport size picture and birth certificate, plus names and addresses of at least three referees.

(vi) Certificates from foreign universities should be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).

All vacancies carry competitive remunerations in terms of salaries/ Honorarium and other packages in accordance with the NIT Scheme of Service and Staff Regulations.
