POSITION; MECHANICAL ENGINEER -1 POST
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To execute planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance. Troubleshooting, installing, servicing and repair of generating sets and their accessories
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Specifically you will be responsible for:
1. Performing major maintenance, adjustments and repairs on mechanical equipments.
2. Conducting thorough daily inspection of generating sets and their accessories and report to Principal Maintenance engineer for any defects and carry out remedies,
3. Carrying out visual inspection of equipment and instruments and to report any faults and defects,
4. Assisting Principal Maintenance engineer in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
5. Preparing and submitting status reports on weekly and monthly basis.
6. Restoring the system in the shortest possible time during the system/plant outages
7. Performing any other technical duties which may be assigned by Principal Maintenance Engineer.
8. Attending monthly safety meetings.
Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills you must possess
• Holder of First degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized institutions
• At least 2 years of working experience in related field,
• Makes realistic, practical, value- based decisions
• Prioritize work and uses time efficiently,
• Plans ahead to ensure that resources are available in time
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Computer literate.

The ability to learn fast and adapt to change easily and have the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
