a) Assist the CSM to establish mission policies including, but not limited to those governing computer maintenance and acquisition, installation of software, and integration of proper power protection equipment for all the mission’s systems.
b) Perform server data backup, archive, and recovery as needed to prevent data loss; overseeing the telecommunication systems such as VSAT, ISP links, Cisco switches and routers, Microsoft Exchange server and Domain controllers.
c) Ensures that all Mission hardware is adequately maintained, whether in-house or through maintenance contracts; develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan; periodically perform thorough hardware and peripherals cleaning.
d) Ensuring all network computers are protected from virus attacks by ensuring the latest updates (patches) are running on each computer. Maintaining the integrity of programs and data files, virus protection including limiting the introduction of foreign data programs
