Main duties and responsibilities:
i) Survey and create water network maps using GIS software and related equipment.
ii) Survey and create sewage network map using GIS software and related equipment.
iii) Survey collect and locate customers information in map using GIS software
iv) Compiles geographical data from a variety of source including survey, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs and existing map.
v) Enter new map data trough use of a digitizer or by direct input of coordinate information using the principle of cartography including coordinate systems, longitudes with other GIS users within the Authority or in other fields within Tanga city
vi) Operates and maintains GIS system had ware, software, plotter, digitizer, GPS, video camera and other project facilities.
vii) Coordinates camera and maintains GIS users within the Authority or in other fields by the project engineer
viii) Performs eny other duties related to GIS as may be assigned by the project Engineer.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: The holder of tis position must have the following
i. A holder of degree or advanced diploma in land survey/ planning/ information techniques include computerized mapping and should have pursued a certificate or diploma program in GIS.
ii. GIS concepts conversion, and analytical include computerized mapping and digital data conversion, manipulation and analysis.
iii. Knowledge or GIS software tools and applications including but not limited to ArcGIS, Auto CAD suite and applications of MS office suite.
iv. Minimum of two years working experience in a reputable organization.
REMUNERATION
