Tanzania International Petroleum Reserves Co Ltd (TIPER) is hospitality storage facility for bulk fuel. The company is undergoing business growth and as we are keeping track on the trend we wish to recruit for the following position:
HSSEQ MANAGER:
The role of this position is to offer expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality culture at TIPER by assisting to control occupational risk. .
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. To ensure that all HSSE legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted.
2. To plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures that TIPER is required or choose to follow, and work to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries.

Skills required for the job:
· Degree in Occupational Safety/ Life Science/ Engineering/ Health studies or a background in Science, Technology and Environmental management
· Experience in working in scientific and Technical fields at an operational level
· Understanding of industrial processes is valuable
· Knowledge of computer applications
· Physical fitness
· Evidence of;
o High standard of written and spoken communication skills
o Negotiation skills
o Patience and diplomacy
o Ability to understand and analyze complex information and present it simply and accurately
o An investigative mind
o Attention to detail;
o An interest in the law and the ability to understand regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
· Knowledge and understanding of all legislative requirements relating to occupational health, safety, security and environment
· HSSE issues and Codes of practice relevant to the industry including OSHA & ISO regulations
· A knowledge and understanding of the impact of failure of key systems and processes including loss of containment and threat to the environment.
Knowledge and Experience required
• A Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical / Chemical.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the related field with 3 years of experience in supervisory level.
