Major duties and responsibilities:
• Using Production maintenance software to plan weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring that all the tasks specified by the planner are carried out on due dates in accordance with the approved procedures.
• Supervising service level provider to carry out proper maintenance on equipment when due.
• Attending to breakdowns promptly during production and solves problems within the shortest time possible.
• Installing and commissions new equipment including hardware and software.
• Counter checking the work assigned to Plant Technicians to ensure thoroughness.
• Recommending to the Press Operations Manager the spare parts to be ordered.
• Carrying out daily and monthly stock-take of mechanical spares.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor(s).
Qualification, skills and experience requirements:
• At least a holder of Basic University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Not less than THREE (3) years of experience in the field with a reputable Organization.
• Possessing a Professional Engineer Registration Board Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills both in English and Swahili.
• Basic Knowledge in printing operations.
• Working knowledge of personal computers (hardware/software)and experience on LAN (Local Area Network).
• Able to cope with and work under pressure with sounding flexibility and agility.
