Reporting Line: Senior Mine Engineer
Work Station: Biharamulo Mine Site
contract Duration: 2 years
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensuring the continuing safe operation of the open pits, ,
• Ensuring compliance with, and updating of Mining Departmedt procedures and any other relevant statutory requirements.
• Weekly and Monthly Scheduling – Physicals and Financials,
• Data Entry in the Production Database and Production KPI Systems;
together with their maintenance and continuous development,
• Liaison with D&B, Planning, Geotechnical, Survey, Geology and Pit
Supervisors regarding pit development, scheduling and daily production requirements,
• Assisting with Waste Dump Design and Rehabilitation as well as Pit
Design and Optimization, Assisting with 3 monthly and 6 monthly Scheduling/Forecasts,
• Optimization of Pit Production in terms of operational costs and productivity needs to achieve Budgetary requirements
Professional Qualifications and Experience
• Holder of a Bachelor degree qualification in Mining Engineering
• Mining experience of 2 years, preference for Open Cut Mining
• Basic to Good Computer skills in the following packaqes-
Vulcan or other similar Mine Planning Software Package.
MS Office software package, (Excel, Access, Word).
Shotplus or other similar D&B Software Package.
• Valid Tanzanian Driving Licence
• Appropriate Tanzanian Blasting Certificate.
• Previous Mines Rescue experience advantage.
• Highest priority on Safety
