Job Purpose
The Area/Zonal Manager is responsible for managing, monitoring and controlling Zonal operations, including governance related activities within a specific geographic location in order to capitalize on operational opportunities, deepen existing relationships, while providing excellent service delivery and ensuring that risk are controlled.
Responsibilities
• Direct and coordinate operational growth and sustainability within the Zone.
• Creating and maintaining highly motivated perfuming team.
• Assist in the preparation of Strategic Plan/APB and ensure implementation at the Zone Level.
• Oversee programmed implementation in the Zone.
• Make administrative and financial decisions at Zonal Level.
• Assist in developing project proposals.
• Plan, budget, monitor, evaluate, control, co-ordinate and supervise UMATI`s project in order to ensure desired outputs.
• Manage all community based Development services and clinic avaluation of results for sustainability and expansion of SRH services.
• Liaise with and maintain good working relationships with other SRH providers/stakeholders within the zone.
• Encourage and develop participation of UMATI volunteers in order to ensure quality deliverables.
• Effective cost management at zonal level.
• Ensure operational efficiency through controls and quality service.
• To work with volunteer and staff in identifying lobbying and recruiting cooperate and Life Members of UMATI and utilizing them for Association benefit.
• Represent the ED in the Zone and Sites.
• Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor degree in social sciences, public health or medicine
• At least 5 years working experiences in the related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Firm and fair
• Capable of making sound judgments.
• Results and performance driven.
• Effective communication, fluent in both oral and written Swahili and English.
• Knowledge in family planning, HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive health.
• Ability to foster effective team work spirit.
• Knowledge in managing donor funds.
• Computer and information literacy.
• Ability to work flexibly and to light deadlines.
• Understanding and experience of the voluntary sector.
• Willing and able to travel extensively on UMATI business.
