Country Technical Manager – Dar es salaam – Warrior Security

REPORTS TO: Group Technical Manager and Country/Branch Manager (as appropriate)

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: To manage all technical solutions offered by Warrior at a country/branch level
• Project a culture of technical excellence throughout the Country/Branch
• Maintain a working knowledge of current industry technical products and practices .
• Liaise with all areas of the management and sub management to achieve stated goals
• Maintain a system of regular reporting
• Liaise with sales, operations and control room staff to achieve required goals
• Maintain technical records 0 Select, maintain and manage technical staff as directed
• Engage in the selection process of technician candidates
• Ensure effective training and refresher training of all technical staff
• Liaise with clients and potential clients as appropriate
• Carry out technical surveys and liaise with the sales function in the production of proposals .

ROLE & CONTEXT:
• To supervise the effective installation and maintenance of all Warrior technical products including but not limited to: Alarms, CCTV, Access Control Systems, Guards Patrol Systems, Vehicle Management Systems etc.
• Implement technical plan as directed by Group Technical Manager
• Ensure compliance of all Warrior Control Rooms as detailed by Warrior Control Room Manual.
• Plan technicians’ work schedules in accordance with available resources
• Provide information and recommendations on technical delivery to Group Technical Manager as required
• Organise and manage technical staff to achieve stated goals
• Plan and implement training courses in accordance with technical requirements
• Ensure availability of required technical stock and materials .
• Maintain liaison with Group Procurement Manager to ensure adequate inventory levels
• Carry out technical surveys for the production of proposals .
• Maintain accurate and timely technical and maintenance/servicing records and reports as directed
• Regularly review and assess efficacy of products and technical staff within the country/branch
• Engage with clients and potential clients to assess and deliver their technical needs
• Ensure technical function has sufficient staff and equipment to cost effectively fulfil its role
• Engage in the selection process prior to employment of new technicians

CONSULTS WITH: Group Technical Manager, Country/Branch/Project Managers, Sales Managers and staff, Operations Managers, designated local technical staff, Recruitment and vetting staff, Shift Commanders, Field Officers, Controllers & Supervisors.

REQUIRED SKILLS &QUALIFICATIONS (processes and technology):
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a certified technical manager within the security environment
• Training certificates in relevant product areas
• Excellent command of written and verbal English
• Working knowledge of local language and dialects
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email .
• Mentoring experience desirable
• Proven desire to deliver technical packages within a challenging environment
• Excellent references

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent (as per employment contract)
