Estate And Facilitiies Manager – Mara Musoma – Grumeti Reserves Ltd

Job Details:
The Estate and Facilities Manager’s primary objective is to provide service and support to the two core elements in the organization Tourism and Conservation. The Estate and Facilities Manager has to be acutely aware of the inter-connectivity of the different elements of the organization and the direct and indirect roles that they play in supporting the core functions and consequently his and his department’s role in this complex system.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:
1. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
2. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a managerial position in a related field.
3. Extensive maintenance and operational knowledge of civil infrastructure and related support systems
4. Computer literate (All Microsoft Office elements. CAD an added advantage)
5. Fluency in English
6. Working knowledge of Kiswahili
7. Driving license
8. Basic first aid knowledge

Skills and Abilities:
1. Manage large numbers of staff
2. Must be able to work under pressure
3. Capable of communicating and working with peers and colleagues at different levels and of various backgrounds in various
departments in a proactive and constructive manner.
4. Working knowledge of power generation and distribution, water production and distribution and borehole maintenance
5. Maintenance and operational knowledge of modern HVACS systems a distinct advantage
6. Working Knowledge of gravel road construction and maintenance
7. Working knowledge of environmental regulations
8. Liaise with contractors
9. Assist procurement in liaising with materials suppliers.
10. Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
11. Ability to write reports, operational correspondence, and procedures
12. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers and other staff
13. Ability to solve practical problems
14. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
15. Demonstrate knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software,
16. Ability to successfully engage and lead individual and team discussions and meetings.
17. Ability to apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner.
18. Ability to work in a disciplined manner and capable of following established procedures, practices and comply with local, and government regulations.
