Background:!
Global Outreach Tanzania (GOT) stems from a larger US-based NGO that has equipped
and managed computer laboratories in Tanzanian secondary schools since 1998. It’s
based in Iringa, Tanzania where it has partnered with several secondary schools to
introduce computer literacy into the curriculum. We work with schools to
install the equipment, train the technicians and course teachers, and
maintain and grow the programs once operational. !

Interested and qualified applicants should send their application letter, one page maximum,
indicating the suitability of the applicant for the position and CV with three referees. Applications

The Executive Director will be based in Iringa
and report directly to the Board of Directors
(BoD). Key responsibilities covering general
management, business relations, and project
management will include:! !
• Build a collaborative and strategic
relationship with partner schools and
stakeholders (universities, businesses,
NGOs)!
• Develop, lead, and support a new
strategic plan that focuses on
sustainability of programme!
• Conduct close monitoring and evaluation
of programme in partner schools!
• Report quarterly to the BoD!
• Oversee workloads and assignments of
office staff, including full-time employees,
interns and part time employees.
• Prepare an annual budget which will be
reviewed and approved by BoD
• Engage in activities designed to support
sponsorship and fundraising
The Executive Director will be supported by the
GOT Board of Directors and the ideal
candidate should:! !
• Have a Bacherlor’s or Master’s degree in
Business, Development Studies,
Technology or any related fields
• Have a minimum of 5 years experience in
management, preferably in sectors that
work with NGOs
• Have the capacity to guide the
organisation to ensure that it meets
corporate objectives in all phases of local
operations.
• Be committed to the use of technology to
change learning paradigms and improve
the quality of education.
• Have strong leadership qualities and
experience
• Have proven organisational and
communication skills
• Be proficient in written and spoken Swahili
and English.
• Have a reputation in the local community
for dependability and leadership. (added
