Job Summary
This is a professional level position and requires a well-certified, experienced and skilled GIS expert. The incumbent will report to the Environmental Manager. He/: fie will be responsible for providing GIS support to other departments within the company during field work, processing of spatial data and report writing.
The position- is available on a 2 year renewable contract. The successful candidate will be based in par es Salaam with frequent travelling to project sites in Tanzania and abroad.

Key Responsibilities for this position will include
• Development and preparation of project proposals;
• Collection, processing and presentation of spatial data during ESIA, RAP and other projects
• Providing GIS support to engineers; physical, biologic and social scientists;
• Managing staff reporting to him/her

Key qualifications, Experience and Competences
• A postgraduate degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geo informatics. Holders of a first degree in engineering or science with postgraduate qualifications in GIS will be considered.
• Knowledge and experience in conducting ESIAs, Environmental Audits or Environmental Monitoring for large scale projects;

REMUNERATION
All positions are available on a two year renewable contract based on performance. Salaries will be negotiated based on qualification and experience. Applicants should be prepared, ready and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines including working during weekends and public holidays. The successful candidates will be based in Dar es Salaam with frequent travelling to project sites in Tanzania and abroad.
