For this demanding and challenging position applicants
– must have a Masters degree or similar in Hospital Administration, General Management, Business Management, Public Health or similar
– must have substantial working experience in leading positions of (health) institutions of similar size with decision power regarding overall planning, finances and human resources
– must have proven experience and training in the areas of management, planning, financial administration, accounting, human resource management, decision making,
– must be familiar with the set up and the running of the health system in Tanzania
– must be absolutely familiar and competent with computers (Office, Excel, ppt etc.)
– must be fully conversant with an accounting program (ideally BANANA)
– must be fluent in speaking, reading, writing in Swahili and English

In addition applicants must command a personality with leadership qualities, actively identifying, analyzing and solving problems, able to motivate staff, able to represent the hospital to the outside, willing to work hard and long hours.
