Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing and enforcing Risk Management Systems and analysis. She/he contributes to the development of appropriate strategies and models to identify opportunities and to mitigate risks/losses in order to enhance the overall profitability of the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
Shall include but not limited to the following
• Assist in developing and revise risk requirements documentation for various aspects of strategic solutions.
• Identify and investigate the root cause of errors/frauds and provide recommendations on solutions and follow ups.
• Report on the status of presentation of all the risk management reports as required by the law.
• Ensure that the Bank is in compliance with all the applicable internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
• Plan, design and implement an overall risk management framework for the Bank.
• Develop, share and monitor implementation of risk management operating models in each department.
• Evaluate impact of all risks (legally, financially, reputation etc.) and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and review processes to ensure risk and compliance arrangements are continuously in place and applied.
• Review policy and compliance standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
• Coordinate and investigate operational strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats of the prevailing risk management strategy and develop recommendation accordingly.
• Lead the process of quality assurance of all Banks business processes across the Bank.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the CEO/Head of Risks & Compliance from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
• University Degree or equivalent qualifications in Business Administration, Financial Accounting, Economics, Risk Management or related field.
• Possession of professional qualification such as CPA (T), ACCA, CERM, IFA, CIMA is an added advantage.
• Possession of at least eight (8) years work experience in a banking sector, five (5) of which should be at senior management level in Risk Management.
