JOB PURPOSE
To plan and procure optimal quality goods and services timely and cost effectively as per approved budgets in line with company policies and guidelines

Main responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key result areas
• Prepare annual procurement plan and monitor its execution in close liaison with customers
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers
• Manage supplier relationship and performance to ensure KPIs on all SLAs are delivered
• Inventory management as per best business practice
• Manage the entire sourcing process from IPR to deliver as per policy, updating customers appropriately
• Manage Inbound logistics
• Coordinates purchases for major expenditure through tender board
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services as per specifications
• Contracting and contract management
• Manages reverse logistics and disposals of unusable items as per procurement policy
• Effective office utilities acquisition and management
• Ensure appropriate insurance portfolio is placed with the best in the market and as per company needs, monitor performance effectively for minimal risks and optimal value
• Manage a team of procurement officers and collaboratively work with other functional heads

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Academic- Basic university Degree
• Professional – post –graduate Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain
• CPSP from PSPTB
• Experience; 5 years experience, 3 of which in similar role in a reputable organization
• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
• High degree of passion, integrity and honesty
• Knowledge of SAP Materials Management module will be an added advantage
