Purpose
The role is responsible for day-to-day activities of repairs and maintenance of NMB buildings across the country including alterations, renovation & workspace installations. This role reports to the Head of Facilities Management.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Coordinates all facilities management issues with building caretakers so as to ensure efficient and un-interrupted operations of the building.
• Creates monitoring systems to detect building problems as early as possible.
• Carries out inspection of the buildings and ensures that all construction snags are
identified, recorded and submitted to the contractor for rectification within defect liability period.
• Ensures that plants and equipment and other facilities in the buildings are working properly.
• Manages the physical facilities in the most professional manner.
• Ensures the buildings meets health and safety requirement.
• Coordinates all repairs and maintenance works with maintenance team or contractor.
• Checks that agreed work by maintenance team or contractor has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.
• Monitors performance of service providers for maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal, security, etc. so as to achieve agreed service levels and to lead on improvement.
Required qualifications and experience
• Bachelor degree in Facilities management, project management, Civil/electrical engineering, Architecture, Construction management. Building survey, Housing and Infrastructure planning, Land Management & valuation, Property & Facilities management, or related field.
• At least five (5) years of work experience in Facilities Management of which two (2) years must be at senior management level.
• Extensive knowledge of Facilities Management activities and should possess sound leadership skills.
