MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
– Represent ICAP/TZ before government of Tanzania officials , technical working groups and partner organizations
– Coordinate provisions of technical assistance to the ministry of health, community development, gender, elderly and children and identify and social technical resources from the different departments within the country office and ICAP HEAD QUARTERS
– Actively participate in the development of annual continuations applications,, grant proposal, presentations, publications, reports and abstracts
– As a member of ICAP TZ senior management team participate in strategic decisions making for the general management of the efforts
– Ensure coordination’s of clinical activities, ensuring consistency with funder and ICAP, objectives while avoiding duplications of the efforts
– Develop collaborative relationships with technical focal points at government bodies and external organizations in order to meet mutual goals
– Conduct capacity building workshops as needed to support the implementations of the PHIA and other projects
– Participate in the preparations of scientific analyze, abstracts and publications from the studies and surveys
– Periodic domestic travel through the county to support the planning and implementing of the PHIA and other
– Perform other duties as needed or as, future grant funded activities require
EDUCATIONS
– Bachelor degree in medicine and masters in public health, epidemiology or any clinical field
EXPERIENCE, SKILS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
– 5 years experience in managing public health research programs in area such as HIV, TB and maternal child health in sub-Africa
– Strong supervisory and management skills for leading teams of clinical and other public health professionals
– Prior clinical research or programs evaluations experience
– Demonstrated experience working independently
– Strong problems solving skills
– Excellent verbal and written communications skills
