Expert Chemist – Dar es salaam – Southern and Eastern African Mineral Centre

Qualification:
A Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in Chemistry. Qualification in Inorganic Chemistry and additional training in the analysis of rocks and geological material would be an added advantage and highly required.

Tasks:
•Receive, record and analyse samples from clients
•Record, interpret and report results to the client
•Classify and store the sample in the storeroom for easy retrieval.

Required Skills:
•An expert knowledge of chemical analysis of materials
•Knowledge of geochemistry and analysis of geological materials
•Knowledge of Environmental analysis
• Working on AAS, ICP and XRF equipment will give an added advantage.

Required Experience
•Experience in chemical/environmental laboratory analysis
•Experience in sampling of materials for analysis
•Experience within the mining sector is highly desirable
•At least 8 years of experience for a Bachelors Degree holder, 5 years of Experience for a

Masters Degree holder and 2 years experience for a PhD holder.
