Qualifications
• PhD holder in either of the following areas; Zoology, Biology, Botany, Veterinary, Public Health or any related discipline from a recognised higher learning Institution
• Have an experience of not less than three years in the respective field, with minimum of three years in senior managerial position, not less than twelve (12) publications in international peer reviewed journalism
OR
• Candidates with MSc in either of the following areas Zoology, Biology, Botany, Veterinary, Public Health or any related discipline from a recognised higher learning Institution, with not less than six years field experience in relevant scientific area, a minimum of three years in senior managerial position, and not less than fifteen (15) publications in international peer reviewed journals
• Ability to write demand driven fundable relevant research proposals with impact to the community will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in pesticides Research/Management will also be an added advantage
Terms of Tenure
Contractual for an a Term four years once renewable, governed by the TPRI scheme of Service for the posts of Directors and Heads of units. Salary Scale will be determined by qualifications and relevant experience as per TPRI Scheme of Service. For other posts employment its on permanent and pensionable terms
