PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
– To provide and guide on store keeping procedures including but limited to receipt requisition and issuing of the suppliers and materials
– Responsible and in change of Musoma Office Maintenance and general upkeep of the store
– The position is based in Musoma and report to the senior Administrator Officer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Maintains record prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to the all store activities
ii. Determines items and qualities of stock to be purchased and maintained in the store based on the various projects
iii. Establish standard and method for packing and storing suppliers and material and maintain catalog of available stock items
iv. Supervise the unpacking of incoming goods and ensure proper wraps and packs for outgoing goods
v. Resolve discrepancies in requisition, purchase orders and delivery reports by conducting vendors or requesters
vi. Design and implement and maintain a filing system that ensure goods and suppliers issued and other documents are preserved and easily retrieve
vii. Coordinated and participate in special schedule stock counts as required to ensure there’s up to date report of stored inventory in the store
viii. On-going communications with end user representatives for delivery of materials daily on-going communication with material planners user department for scheduling of issues
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
– High school with diploma or degree in procurement and supplier and /or materials management
EXPERIENCE
– 1-2 years of experience working as ware house or store keeper
– Knowledge of standards practice , procedures storage and requisition of suppliers and materials
– Ability to maintain records and prepare reports as required
– Working experience in an NGO set up is preferred
SKILLS
– Tim management
– English Language
– Health safety systems awareness
– Knowledge of policy & procedure relating NGO and store keeping
– Written communication
